Sephora Perfecting Cover Foundation Review

For about a month now, I have been using the Sephora Perfecting Cover Concealer in 30 Sand. And I really liked it! It covered my acne scars and dark circles, its very creamy and it doesn't cake at all.  But I thought that maybe getting their foundation would make me use less of the concealer, since I have a lot of acne scarring. So when I went back to Sephora I bought their Perfecting Cover Foundation in the same shade, 30 Sand since they told me the colors correspond to each other.

Unfortunately, I'm  was disappointed in it. I returned it after a week of using it.
CONS:
- It turned orange on my face after a few (10-15) minutes of application. (It oxidized? I don't know, when the concealer oxidizes on my face it actually blends in and it doesn't stand out. This one did, I could tell that my face looked different from my neck. And yes, I blend the foundation down to my neck.)
- It has this scent, I have no idea how to describe it but it really annoyed me when I put foundation around my nose. (The concealer has the same scent but its A LOT fainter)

However, it has its good points too.
PROS:
- It stayed on my face for about 8-9 hours without retouching (I have oily skin and I use about 5-6 blotting papers/day ).
- I find it easy to blend.
- It has this natural finish, not too matte or not too dewy.
- Coverage is really good. (Main reason why I got it!)
- Didn't made me breakout. (Oily skin = Acne prone skin)
- Its inexpensive. (kinda, as a college student I'm on a tight budget ) (22$)
- It comes in a pump. (Yay, hygienic!) And you can see how much is left.

Anyways, I went back to Sephora and asked for a sample of the same foundation in 25 Beige and we shall see how that turns out! (I really like the foundation, I just hope it doesn't turn orange on me!! >_< I'll give an update. ) For now, I use my concealer as a foundation and concentrate it only on my cheeks (where my acne scars are) and blend it out using a stippling brush. (It also means I use a lot of the concealer, haha)

I'm not discouraging people to try this out since this is only my opinion of the product from my experience with it. If you're looking for an inexpensive foundation with good coverage, wouldn't mind the smell (and hopefully wouldn't turn orange on your skin) then I recommend this foundation for you.

If I could rate this out of 10, it will be a 8.5
